In a move that has surprised coaches and players around the Battlegrounds Blood Bowl League, D.O.A. head coach Jordan Bassett has engaged his team in a cross-promotional effort where they are taking part as the chorus line in a cabaret show called “Zombie Jamboree” with Calypso legend Harry Belafonte in Branson, Missouri (see picture below from a recent rehearsal and be sure to click on the play button for the titular music). When asked about the move, coach Bassett (in a lavender unitard and drinking a Tab cola) appeared incredulous. “I don’t understand why people are surprised by this. Zombies and Calypso music are deeply rooted in Afro-Caribbean culture so having our team perform as dancers in a Calypso cabaret was inevitable. Besides, it’s a morale booster. Our whole roster is very dejected at the recent death of Michael Jackson. We needed this to lift spirits, no pun intended.”
